Custom Bird House

A real nest box, 3D printed and sized to the bird: the entrance hole is the diameter the species needs (29 mm for wrens and chickadees, 32 mm for titmice and nuthatches, 38 mm for bluebirds — the sizing that keeps sparrows and starlings out), no perch, drainage holes in the floor, vent slots under the eaves, a wide-overhang gabled roof that lifts off for the yearly clean-out, and two keyholes on the back to hang it on a post or tree. Clapboard siding, and a family name set into the front in a second color.
